Brutal Honesty
Here at SCU Services, one of our Core Values is “Brutal Honesty with Compassion.” As owners, being brutally honest with each other means speaking the truth, even if it may be hurtful or uncomfortable. It means being direct and not sugar coating or holding back one’s thoughts or feelings. It can be considered a positive trait when it helps to clear the air and improve communication, but it can also be considered negative if it is done without sensitivity or tact.
We strive for complete transparency in all aspects of our business, nothing hidden and nothing disclosed. We will not move forward on a job without making sure the customer is fully aware of our plan of action. We hope that this level of communication builds trust and confidence with our customers.
“Honesty and transparency make you vulnerable. Be honest and transparent anyway.”
Mother Teresa
Problem Solvers
Problem solving is an important aspect of our business as each and every job is unique. Oftentimes what may look like a quick and simple job, could lead to potential nightmares due to inexperience or negligence.
At SCU,
- We are trained to address the issues and threats at hand.
- We identify and mitigate risks that may lead to other major problems.
- We provide a systematic and proven method of cleaning each and every time.
- We encourage our employees to think critically and creatively about solutions.
- We always encourage a team approach, knowing that we are better together.
“The best way to find a solution to a problem is to understand the problem.”
John C. Maxwell
Whatever it Takes Mentality
Having a “whatever it takes” mentality means being fully committed and willing to do whatever is necessary to achieve a goal or overcome a challenge. It’s characterized by a strong sense of determination and a willingness to go above and beyond what is expected.
Here at SCU, we will not stop until there is complete satisfaction with each and every job. We take great pride in our work and remediation of all biohazard. We understand the importance and the urgency in this line of work and will go to great lengths to remediate and restore.
Our certified and trained technicians are at hand and ready to go the extra mile, two miles, 5 miles, “whatever it takes,” until the job is finished.
“The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will.”
Vince Lombardi
Complete Integrity
There is this stigma in the death industry that companies or funeral homes are looking to take advantage of people vulnerable or in grief. In our experience, this statement is nothing further than the truth.
Our customers are often so thankful that they had someone to talk to and walk with them through the process of dealing with the death of a loved one. We educate the customer of their choices and resources in the community that can help and come alongside.
Having complete integrity is about being honest, ethical and morally upright in all of our actions and behavior. It means being true to our values and principles, and conducting ourselves in a way that is consistent with those values. It involves staying true to your word, being reliable and dependable, and being accountable for our actions.
Each and every job is important to us, but it is nothing compared to the value of caring for another human.
“Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.”
C.S. Lewis
Consistent and Quality Work
Consistent and quality work is important because it helps to establish a reputation for excellence and reliability. While we are not perfect as a company, there is a standard and a set of expectations that we have as a professional death and trauma clean up company for all of our employees.
This level of work builds trust and credibility, not only to the customer, but the first responders and community leaders that may have recommended our services. In return, this is what creates the positive, trusted SCU brand.
“Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of intelligent effort.”
John Ruskin
